Afghanistan’s favorite tourist resort has witnessed a 90% drop in its revenue due to a significant decrease in the number of tourists.

This follows after last month’s gang-rape incident where 4 women were brutally raped after their vehicle was intercepted on the main road in Paghman district of Kabul, also a popular sightseeing place.

The incident has sparked fear among the public, causing a major blow to the tourism of Qargha Lake, where people visit for boating and picnic.

In the meantime, Afghanistan Interior Ministry have assured security for all tourists.
